LAS VEGAS –The Stratosphere Casino Hotel & Tower on the Las Vegas Strip topped off its second tower November 3 with a gala event.
Celebrity impersonators Darren Lee as Elvis, and Michael Colby as Ricky Martin from the Stratosphere’s show American Superstars performed atop of the new room tower, which is scheduled to open during the summer of 2001.
The total construction budget for the 24-story tower project is $65 million. When the tower opens it will include 1,002 guest rooms and amenities. That room count includes 100 suites with spa tubs dispersed throughout the floors.
Major amenities of the tower will include: a 67,000 square-foot swimming pool and recreation area will be located on the sixth floor of the tower along with a snack bar and full-service cocktail bar. The pool deck will also have private cabanas and a large hot tub featured prominently in the design.

Stratosphere is an integrated casino/hotel/entertainment complex located at the north end of the Las Vegas Strip. Highlighted by the 1,149-foot Stratosphere Tower, the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States, Stratosphere features 1,444 guest rooms and suites; a 100,000 square foot casino; uniquely themed restaurants, including the Stratosphere Tower, Fellini’s Tower of Pasta Italian restaurant and Hamada’s Asian Village. The tower also features a roller coaster and the thrill ride The Big Shot.
Potawatomi Opens $120 Million Expansion
MILWAUKEE, WI — Potawatomi Bingo & Casino held its grand opening November 1 with a $120 million expansion in the Menomonee Valley. Legendary pop stylist Tony Bennett graced the stage of the Nest of Life Concert Hall as part of the celebration.
The new casino has reinvented itself as an entertainment destination, with the addition of three live entertainment venues, five dining operations and a bingo hall that seats up to 2,200.
“We are bringing the best Bandar Togel Hongkong Casinoentertainment available on a national scale including music and comedy,” Entertainment Director Kurt Brown explained. “Through our entertainment venues we hope to expand our audience appeal.”
“We want to position Potawatomi Bingo Casino as the premiere entertainment destination for the entire Midwest,” said Brown. “This caliber of entertainment will help us accomplish that goal.”
Potawatomi Bingo & Casino is one of two casinos run by the Forest County Potawatomi Community in Wisconsin. The facility has slot machines, Blackjack tables and Rocket Bingo stations. The casino is a popular attraction for regulars, tourists and tour groups, and regularly contributes to local charities and schools.
